Infrared Sauna Benefits

I’ve wanted to add a sauna to my toolkit for a long time. Since it is an $ investment, I had to save up which gave me time to consider different brands & what I could fit in my current space. We live in a world where no matter how hard we try – we are going to be exposed to chemicals, pesticides & toxins from the water we drink to the air we breathe – that will or can have an impact on our health. I do my best to reduce our toxic burden, in areas I can control, we filter our water, we filter our air, we don’t use plastic, we shop organic as much as possible & we read labels before we buy.

Our bodies are amazing at “detoxing” on their own, we eliminate a lot of garbage through our urine, poop & sweat, but sometimes the amount of exposure can outweigh our bodies ability to keep up & eliminate effectively especially if we have health issues. A sauna can be a great tool to help our body eliminate toxins through our largest detox organ – our skin! A sauna increases heart rate & blood flow to vital organs, allowing the body to excrete toxins from those organs.

Short list of benefits:
🔹 Improves Mood & Energy
🔹Reduces Inflammation & Oxidative Stress
🔹Pain Relief & Relaxation
🔹Increases White Blood Cell Counts
🔹Mobilizes the Lymphatic System
🔹Activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System
🔹Activates Mitochondria to Produce ATP & Nitric Oxide
🔹Detoxification of Metabolic Wastes (lactic acid, uric acid, heavy metals)

I am adding the sauna in as a foundational health tool to get my lymphatic system going & put my parasympathetic nervous system in charge for better digestion, immune function, & detoxification. I have seen in my research, sauna therapy recommended as a powerful tool in protocols for people who have cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, chronic fatigue, high blood pressure, sports injuries, fibromyalgia & more.

I went with the Relax Sauna far-infrared sauna because of the specific frequency wavelength of far-infrared between 4-14 microns that resonate with the water cells within the body.
